Emerging Personality Award

This award has been introduced in order to motivate members to write more self-written quality articles to the resources and other section. This award is given to members who contribute to ISC with quality self-written articles. The award is not restricted to one person. It may be given to any number of members at a time. This award also comes with a cash credit which depends upon the quality and quantity of the member's contribution. This is in addition to "cool post, hot prize". This award is also mostly given to new members.

Thunderbird Award

Indiastudychannel introduced this award to encourage new members to their site. It has been mentioned that this award will be given to any new member who joins ISC with thunders and rains meaning that whoever makes good suggestions to ISC which can change the way ISC operates. Also someone who joins ISC and gets noticed for his hard work. Essentially this criteria means that the member should be working really hard to earn this award. Also members should not spam ISC in order to attain this award. This award comes with a certificate

Group Discussion

Indiastudychannel has introduced an award for members participating in Group Discussions conducted every week. To go to Group Discussions section click here. Every week two members who have participated in the group discussions are selected and are given a cash credit of Rs.200 each. According to the ISC rules copied contents are strictly prohibited in this section. The selection of the two members who are eligible for this award is chosen by the webmasters of Indiastudychannel.

Member of the week award

Every week a member of ISC is chosen as the member of the week and a cash credit of Rs.500 is given. But this cash credit has been reduced to Rs.250 from October 2008 onwards. This award is mostly given to members who have joined recently and has been an active member by asking many questions and answering questions asked by other members through the ISC forum.
Essentially only those members who are active contributers of IndiaStudyChannel can earn this award. The total points accumulated by members are added each week and the member with most points in a week is given this award.

Star Of the ISC Award

This award is given to ISC members who contribute towards the growth of IndiaStudyChannel. Initially this award came with a cash credit of Rs.250 and from 18th June 2009 the cash credit has been raised to Rs.1000 and it has been stated that this award comes with a special stamp which will be attached to the members' profile and also forum footers but this feature has not yet been implemented. In order to become an eligible candidate for this award there are certain criteria to be satisfied which are summarised below:

• Be active and help ISC to identify issues before it gets blown into a big problem
• Give frequent suggestions that are feasible and that can be technically implemented
• Be flexible and cooperative and help others to become a successful ISCian

Payment Program12 : Post Admission News and Earn

Members of Indiastudychannel can earn money by posting news related to admission. These are reviewed manually by ISC editors and appropriate cash credits are awarded. These information has to be posted in the admission section under resources. The news that has been posted will be reviewed and a cash credit of rupees 0 to 25 will be awarded based on the quality of the news posted.

ISC members can publish posts or write articles about Indiastudychannel in any website and earn points and cash credits. Each post should have a clickable link back to any page of ISC and also it should also be self written and of high quality without any grammatical mistakes. The link should be posted in the links section of Indiastudychannel and it will be reviewed after 10-15 days.

Payment Program10: Post yahoo answers

As a member of ISC, you will be paid for each answer you give in the "Education and reference" section of yahoo answers, provided there is a clickable link which links back to any page in Indiastudychannel.com

In order to avoid spamming yahoo answers, each member can only answer 5 questions per day and if an answer gets 5 points, then Rs.5 will be credited to your cash credits. All you have to do is answer any question asked in the "Education and reference" section with a clickable link to ISC and post the link of that answer here. It will take about 15 days to review the answer and appropriate points and cash credits will be assigned thereafter.

Payment Program8 : Post question papers

As we all know Indiastudychannel is a site that provides educational information. Lots of previous years question papers can be found in ISC. Members can earn cash credits by uploading previous year question papers. A cash credit of Re. 1 will be credited for every approved question paper in addition with the google adsense revenue sharing. However there are certain terms and conditions

1. The question papers should not be copied from other sites. They should be typed from the original paper or can be scanned and attached
2. The question papers should be in English only
3. The question paper should not already exist in ISC

Payment Program7 : Kontera Revenue Sharing

Kontera is like google adsense and is popular for its intext advertising. Indiastudychannel has partnered with kontera and you will get instant approval if you go by the referral link given by Indiastudychannel. If you are an active member in ISC posting valuable articles and other quality contents, then you can earn a great deal of money from Kontera. You have to register for a new account and provide the publisher Id to ISC. But this program is still in its experimental stage and so it is implemented only in the resources section.

Payment program6 : Bonus for new adsense members

If you have joined ISC and created the adsense account through ISC and not associate an existing adsense account then you are eligible to receive a bonus of Rs. 400 if you earn $100 within 6 months. Once you achieve this target, notify the webmasters about your eligibility for this bonus. There are some terms and conditions to be followed:

1. This program applies to members who joined ISC on or after 1 August 2008
2. When you reach $100, there should not be any payment holds in your adsense account

Payment program5 : Adsense referral program

This is another attractive payment program offerred by ISC. ISC pays Rs. 500 when your referral reaches $100 through adsense within six months of getting his adsense account approved. However there are certain conditions to be satisfied to get this cash credit. They are

1. The member should have created a new adsense account through ISC and not use his existing adsense account
2. Fake accounts should not be created
3. This program is applicable only to those members who joined ISC on or after 24 August 2008

Indiastudychannel has a section called as "Ask experts". Posting questions in this section may earn cash credits. At the end of each month, 60 of the best questions are selected and each question is awarded with 5 points and 5 rupees. 1. Don,t post irrelevant questions and dont spam, otherwise your access to this section will be denied

Payment program2 : cool post, hot prize

In this program, the resources which drive more traffic to ISC and those that add more value to ISC are given cash credits. These cash credits are assigned to the resource by the editors during their normal editing process and some resources may not get any cash credits. Copyrighted contents are not allowed and also copying contents from other sites is also prohibited. The amount of cash credited may not be equal to the number of points. Cash credits can be accumulated and when it reaches minimum payout, it can be withdrawn.

There are three people who can be recognized as founders of IndiaStudyChannel

IndiaStudyChannel.com was originally started as an Academic project by Timmy as part of his B.Tech course. This was hosted for the purpose of demonstrating to his teachers in the college. But since it attracted many people, the site grew up really fast. Tony John is a Microsoft MVP and a good webmaster. He can be considered as the mastermind behind the success of Indiastudychannel. Jose Mathew was a higher secondary teacher earlier and he quit his job later to promote ISC.

At present, the ISC has recruited many editors into their team and the site is maintained very well
